Here is the listing of the California Condemned Inmate List.
http://www.cdcr.ca.gov/Reports_Research/docs/CondemnedInmateListSecure.pdf You can cross reference the list to the list Michael provided. When you find the name search the sentencing county by newspapers. You will have to pay to search the archives in hopes to find an article when the inmate was sentenced. The price usually runs about a buck 99 a search. Another route is to Google California Victim Services. Again by county of sentencing. At this point a phone call is usually the easiest.
It is very time consuming and hits the wallet kinda hard. Some County Courts require a fax as opposed to an email for information. I only did that twice. Like at .50 a page it gets expensive.
I spent most of last July and August 2009 on Cali DR inmate info. I had a great hook up at the Orange County Register that provided me with a ton of info on Rodney Alcala. She let me know when the trial was scheduled to start.
Message me if you need assistance. I will have to go back through my Yahoo mail, but I still have some contacts.
Happy Hunting!!
