Brett must be squirming this time. They attempted to get the date changed due to the fact Maureen O'Connor voted for the date and she was inadvertently connected to the the case during the trial because she was with the prosecutor's office then. She stepped down, they dismissed her vote and it didn't effect the decision. SORRY  He petitioned the Ohio Supreme court, they refused him. SORRY AGAIN  And now he is requesting a clemency hearing. What a glutten! And of course they are petitioning the governor,hmmmm what next?

I do understand that he can plead  and beg until the moment he is injected, and he may even get a stay at that moment. But I also understand the mental torment he must be going through, so let him beg and continue to bring pain to himself. We are beyond that point, no matter when it happens we are ready!

He is suffering each and every moment that passes. And I definitely am OK with that, I mean once he dies the self torment will be gone then wouldn't it?  ;)    ;D

My reason for supporting the death penalty? A murderer has less of a right to live than his victim and already presents a danger while incarcerated for life. They have nothing to lose when the most they can get is Life in prison without parole.

I received a letter from the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and correction. A partial reading is: "The Parole Board has initiated the clemency process and is gathering all necessary information to review the death penalty case of Brett Hartman. The Parole Board will be holding a hearing on this case on July 12, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. at 770 West Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio for the purpose of submitting a report and recommendation to the Honorable John Kasich, Governor of the state of Ohio, regarding granting any form of executive clemency."   Here we go for the second time around, does anyone know if he will be granted another family visit prior to the execution?

This fucker needs to face the music.  Bloody shirt and watch?   His whole defense rests on how his case was handled - not the evidence against piled up against him.  Find God - beg forgiveness - but it's time.  He stabbed her over a 100 times!

Jakib,

 I'm so sorry that you and the family have to go through all this again. You have my respect and admiration for the graciousness with which you all have traveled this road. Come August, you will get your justice, and we will be right here with you through the trying months ahead.

Stay the course Jakib, Hartman will get his, no matter how much his supporters believe his lies. Justice will be Winda's and yours before the years end.

I am home...the prosecutors and victims assistance said everything went well. The board will present their decision to the governor on July 20th.
