The Greek railway system is not large. The main line from Athens to Thessaloniki is just over 500km long. The line is so badly run and the railway is in so much debt, it would be cheaper to pay for passengers to go by taxi rather than let them pay to go on the railway!

We (EU) must help Greek. The railway must be rebuild...if it is used or not.   ;D

Therefore Frenchy open your piggy bank and spend some Franc. I will spend some Deutsche Mark too  :P
