I heard through the grape vine that a corrections officer in Texas was speared by one of the inmates on death row. The officer will now have to go through 2 years of blood tests because this particular inmate is "dirty". Please pray that everything comes back fine for this officer and let's never forget that officers such as this one put themselves on the line every day to protect the rest of us from these criminals.

Thanks Pam.. This is just one more reason why inmates Should have nothing in there cells.  I hope that inmates is beat with in a cm of his life.. On a regular time frame.. I am grateful he will live, all be it in a lil bit of hell for a while.

I can only imagine the hell the CO is going to go through for the next 18 months!!After all he is doing his job and probably doing it very well!!! I hope the others help him to make sure the individual has a less than happy time for the rest of his visit (lets hope it's a short one)!!!!


Thought to his family who now have the same hell to go through!! One can only imagine (unless you have experience with it) how it feels to be scared to kiss your kids good night!!!!

CO's are unsung heros that provide safety to prison personel and inmates in very difficult circumstances.  It seems that they are criticized for every move they make by the thughuggers.

my very best wishes for the CO.

There are two possibilities to ensure that these things doesen´t happen anymore - execute the DR-inmates soon after the sentence or keep them dumb with a TV (even if you don´t like the idea that they can watch TV the whole day). Without any type of entertainment the chance of attacking a staff member increases soon.

LOl...so the little bitches....errr...darlins...want T.V??Give it to them, in their cell, but, take a page out of Sheriff Joes book for the feeding and handling of assholes....err...prisoners.  That being, pedal a bike to power the thing,and only put religious shows or the Weather Channel or even worse ....24 /7 Barney...the Purple Dinosaur....on it.  Besides they said they only want to have t.v. privileges, not whats on it ...... ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
