Parts of Sacco's body were found inside her urbana apartment while the rest were located 90 miles away in Hamilton, Ohio, and Covington, Ky.
They are among the five people arrested, reported ONN's Denise Alex.
"There was some evilness to this type of crime that we don't generally experience in Urbana," said Chief Matt Lingrell of the Urbana Police Dept.
Lingrell said Jessica Sacco was stabbed by her on and off again boyfriend Matthew Puccio. She was then suffocated with a bag and her body was taken to the bathroom of their apartment and dismembered with the help of four others, according to Lingrell.
A woman who didn't want to be identified said Puccio and a couple from Michigan stayed at her Hamilton home Friday night after discarding the 21-year-old woman's limbs.
She defends Puccio's actions, calling it self defense.
"That boy wouldn't really even hurt a fly, let alone his ex-girlfriend," she said. "He just said that he did that to make it where it couldn't be found, because he was scared for his life."
Thirty-seven-year-old Christopher Wright and 25-year-old Sharon Cook, both of Urbana, were arraigned Monday in Champaign County on charges involving corpse abuse and evidence tampering. Their bonds are set at $50,000 each. Also charged in the case is a Fenton, Mich., couple.
Lingrell would not comment on a motive for murder, but said the evidence against the five suspects is substantial.
"You don't get arrests that quickly without a little bit of luck and maybe God looking out for us, helping us out," he added.
Urbana police saud their investigation isn't over yet but they are relieved to have all five suspects behind bars less than 24 hours after finding Sacco's body.
