Ty, Glad you got back in time to help us take out the trash. ;D

Last words and such:

"You are about to witness the execution of a wrongly convicted and innocent man," Waterhouse said. He blamed his conviction on corrupt prosecutors, a prejudiced judge and a "rubber-stamp" appellate system. "The state broke its own law in destroying DNA evidence in my case so I could not prove my innocence.  "To my wife and family, I want to say I love you all and that's it," he said."

After 30 years - THAT'S what you come up with Robby?  You murdered not one, but TWO innocent people you miserable slug....  You are NOT wrongly convicted and you are NOT innocent.  A prejudiced judge and a "Rubber-stamp" appellate system?  If that was the case, your ass would have been juiced about 15 years ago.

Today, the worlds a better place Robby - because you're no longer in it.   :P

I missed this one because I hadn't been on the site for a few days.  Bad Glynis ;)

Well this one wont be missed, it's just a pity that the family had to wait so long for justice.

I hope his journey into Hell is sweet.
“If an offender has committed murder, he must die. In this case, no possible substitute can satisfy justice. For there is no parallel between death and even the most miserable life, so that there is no equality of crime and retribution unless the perpetrator is judicially put to death.” - Immanuel Kant

Greenport Native Executed in Florida

By Timothy Bolger on February 16th, 2012

-With Associated Press

A former Greenport man convicted of raping and killing a 77-year-old Long Island widow in 1966 was executed by lethal injection in a Florida prison Wednesday for a second woman’s murder in The Sunshine State.

Robert Brian Waterhouse was pronounced dead at 8:22 p.m. after spending 31 years on death row for raping a 29-year-old mother and dragging her into Tampa Bay’s surf to drown. The 65-year-old maintained his innocence to the end.

“You are about to witness the execution of a wrongly convicted and innocent man,” Waterhouse reportedly told those who witnessed the execution, blaming his conviction on a corrupt judicial system. He admitted having sex with the victim but denied killing her.

Waterhouse was convicted in 1980 of murdering Deborah Kammerer of St. Petersburg, who he’d beaten, raped and dragged into the bay, where she drowned. He had previously been paroled from a New York State prison eight years after pleading guilty to second-degree murder for killing Ella May Carter when he was 19.

Gov. Rick Scott signed his death warrant last month. His execution was delayed two hours as the U.S. Supreme Court considered a last-minute appeal before rejecting it.

Last week, the Florida Supreme Court had rejected arguments that Waterhouse should be spared because of testimony from a newly discovered witness and the destruction of physical evidence that made it impossible to perform DNA testing that could exonerate him. Justices concluded the new testimony was unreliable and wouldn’t have been enough to acquit Waterhouse if he were to be retried.

He ate a final meal of two pork chop cutlets, two eggs sunny side up, two pieces of white toast, a slice of cherry pie, a pint of butter pecan ice cream, a pint of orange juice and a pint of milk. He declined to meet with a minister or spiritual adviser.

Outside the prison, more than 40 people protested the execution in a small, roped-off area across the street.

Justice served :( Thanks Florida :-* God bless the victim and his family :'( :-*

Welcome to Hell rubbish Waterhouse... :D >:( :P

I wonder how many of those people would let this 2time murderer into their home?
You can lead an ass to water and if you fight long and hard, you can make it drink.  But at the end of the day, after all the fighting, it is still an ass.
