I have been very lucky with health but a few months ago, noticed a very slight tremor in my left hand. This has got a little worse and I have been diagnosed with early Parkinsons disease. Doc thinks it is slow and likely something else will get me before it gets too bad. Still, BUGGER.

The Brits are really really cross that a French magazine has published Kate's naked titties! Well, she was in France, a republic, and is the future queen of the UK. Irrisistable I would say. For sure, it has caused a lot of laughter over here!
Rather than blame our press, perhaps the Palace should remonstrate with Titty Kate. A pretty stupid thing to do for someone in her position. I bet that they will turn up again when she becomes queen.

Now I am back home from the Monza Grand Prix and a short Italian holiday, it has been time to plough through world news.
UK
A huge child abuse ring has been broken and the criminals jailed. Despite the fact that Social Services and several other authorities were reporting suspected abuse and one of the victims complained to the police, nothing was done for a very long time.
WHY?
The police were concerned about being racist. The animals were, of course, Muslims.
The Arab Spring, so heavily supported by the West now shows its true colours. Attacks on embassies round the world and no doubt the West will just offer appeasement. When will we learn that the Muslin religion, along with their ghastly Mohammed is an insult to free people round the world and should be seen as the number one enemy of civilization?
Are we on Off2DR the only ones with the gumption to call the Muslims for what they really are?

I am just sick to bloody death of bloody guns being eulogised in the USA.
One of my Austin (Texas) grandchildren who is four and shortly now to be an Oz grandchild was in private preschool when another four year old pulled out a hand gun from his stachel and pulled the trigger. Luckily just a hole in the wall (and a toddler with a broken hand) but as far as I am concerned, that is the end of it. This happened a few weeks ago and I have been fuming ever since. My daughter remonstrated with the parents. They replied that they had every right to keep guns. And so they do........ I hope they manage to shoot some of their own kids and get them out of the gene pool.
500 children die from accidental gunshots every year in the USA. Of course, the NRA will say that this is a statistical zero considering the USA population.
Try saying that to the parents of the 500.

Quebec has always been a French sore point (another war we lost) but now it seems that fate may change all of this. As English Canada goes towards the right, Quebec prefers a more European socialistic regime and that seems to be the dividing point.
These days, I suspect that much of English Canada will think 'good riddance'. I would hope that Quebec might even reform an alliance with France. I am interested to see what Naviator has to say.

A really sad story of an obituary
Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense , who has
been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his
birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be
remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as:
- Knowing when to come in out of the rain;
- Why the early bird gets the worm;
- Life isn't always fair;
- and maybe it was my fault.
Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more
than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge).
His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing
regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6-year-old boy charged with sexual
harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using
mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student,
only worsened his condition.
Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job
that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children.
It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to
administer sun lotion or an aspirin to a student; but could not inform parents
when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.
Common Sense lost the will to live as the churches became businesses; and
criminals received better treatment than their victims.
Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar
in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.
Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize
that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was
promptly awarded a huge settlement.
Common Sense was preceded in death, by his parents, Truth and Trust, by his
wife, Discretion, by his daughter, Responsibility, and by his son, Reason.
He is survived by his 4 stepbrothers;
I Know My Rights
I Want It Now
Someone Else Is To Blame
I'm A Victim
Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone. If you
still remember him, pass this on. If not, join the majority and do nothing.

Hillary Clinton, nobody told you yet that when you're old and haggard, when your opinions matter less and less, and when everybody around is basically tired of your talking, the best strategy is to shut up?
We are not talking about Hillary Clinton personally, absolutely not – rather, about the so-called First World that she represents and helps to run. The one that is becoming increasingly irrelevant in the new world – but full of venom and old pretence.
And, about her lapdogs that are fond of calling themselves "reputable media sources", "prestigious newspapers" and "responsible journalists" ( because if you don't praise yourselves – who will? )
Take a few weeks ago....…
Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton wanted it to be known that "the US was concerned about the latest information we have that there are attack helicopters on the way from Russia to Syria."
In case somebody missed the point, Ms. Clinton added "that will escalate the conflict quite dramatically."
Headlines on every US and British television station and in every major newspaper screamed "Russia Fuels the War in Syria" or some such drivel. Dozens of reporters went on parroting the grave facial expression of Clinton.
Even Fox News, whose editorial motto for the last three years might as well have been "look how Obama and his administration managed to ruin our great country" suddenly changed their tack – clearly, the Russkies are even worse than Obama, right?
Only on Fox the "crafty" editors glued together archive shots of the Russian Mi24s (also known as Mi25 and Mi35) firing missiles at some training exercises (in the middle of Siberia by the look of things) with dramatic footage of burning houses and crying children in Syria, of course (unless somebody used archive pictures of crying children in Iraq instead – it wouldn't be the first time for FNC to lie like that).
So, "escalate the conflict dramatically" right, Madame Secretary?
None of the "reputed" journalists bothered to check Jane's Defense or they would have seen that the Syrian air-force is already in possession of dozens and dozens of attack helicopters, primarily French-made Gazelles and Soviet-built ( i.e. 20+ years old) Mi-25s. Why would they suddenly need more if they haven't used those they have so far?
Finally the helicopter story bubble burst. Not through the diligence of mainstream media reporters, of course. Instead it was through the actions of cautious UK-based maritime insurer Standard Club that revoked its insurance of the cargo of a ship, MV Alaed, that was… actually carrying attack helicopters to Syria!
So, there were Russian helicopters bound for Syria after all?
Yeah. A grand total of 3 (that's "three" – not "three dozen" or "three hundred"). Old Syrian-owned, Soviet-made machines sent to Russia for refurbishing months ago.
Talk about much ado about nothing…
Sorry – we have to take it back. It was not about nothing – it's about a top US official trying to implant her vision of what is happening in the world by twisting facts – and the mainstream media slavishly helping her.

A new South Carolina voter identification law could cause tens of thousands of people, especially minorities, to be turned away at the voting booths during the 2012 presidential election.
State officials are taking the proposed law to the federal court on Monday, in an attempt to convince a panel of three judges that the law is necessary to prevent voter fraud. The Voting Rights Act of 1965 gives the federal government the power to approve or reject all voting laws and procedures in states with a history of voter discrimination.
The voter ID law implemented in 1988 requires a state-issued voter registration card and signature at the voting booth. The new law would require photo identification at the polls. Acceptable forms of ID would be cards issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles, military IDs, passports or state voter registration cards.
The Justice Department ruled against implementing the law last year, concluding it was discriminatory – but it is now being reconsidered.
According to the NAACP, 25 per cent of African-Americans and 16 per cent of Latinos nationwide lack government-issued photo identification. Federal officials found that minority voters are 20 per cent more likely than white voters to not have the ID required to vote under the new law.
In South Carolina, more than 80,000 people lack the required photo identification to vote and will therefore be adversely affected by the new law, according to the Justice Department.
Photo IDs are sometimes hard to come by for some voters, especially those who do not have a copy of their birth certificate or have lost all documents required to apply for a federal ID card.
Donna Dubose, 63, is one such case. Delivered at home by a midwife who recorded her name incorrectly on her birth certificate, she was without the relevant information. Her husband lost all of his personal documents when his childhood home burned down. It took Dubose, an attorney and help from a civil rights activist, to obtain a photo ID- her husband still languishes without one.
“It makes me really frustrated to not be able to vote all of a sudden,” James Dubose, 75, told NBC News.
Acquiring an ID also costs money, which may stop low-income families from getting the necessary documents.
A new voter identification law in Pennsylvania has been found to prevent 9 per cent of minorities from voting this election, the Pennsylvania Department of State announced. According to research by the Philadelphia City Paper, almost half of Philadelphia voters and 1.6 million of the state’s voters may be banned from partaking in the election as a result of lacking the proper identification.
If South Carolina’s new voter ID law passes, it will be among 11 states that require photo identification at polling booths.
Supporters of the law argue that stricter laws would prevent voter fraud, but there is little concrete evidence of voter fraud having occurred in the past.
“South Carolina’s photo ID measure is a solution in search of a problem. Credible studies show that one is more likely to be struck by lightning than to perceive an instance of in-person voter fraud,” Ryan Haygood, a lawyer at the NAACP’s Legal Defense Fund, told CNN. “The [upcoming] trial will make clear that the state’s proposed photo identification measure will have a significant impact on its minority voters.”
In February, the State Election Commission identified several cases of voter fraud during the 2010 elections. But upon closer examination, five out of six cases of “fraud” were a result of clerical or poll worker errors, such as marking the wrong voter’s name in the poll book, National Public Radio reported. The sixth case was marked “fraudulent” because the voter had sent in an absentee ballot and died shortly thereafter.
Opponents of Pennsylvania’s law found that not a single case of alleged voter fraud had been prosecuted or investigated before the law went into effect. Regardless of the insufficient evidence to prove the necessity of photo ID, the law was passed.
Some public officials claim that if South Carolina approves the new law, the results of the 2012 presidential election could be significantly altered. The legislative change stands to block tens of thousands of potential voters from casting their ballots.

"(From An Inspector at the Australian Federal Police)
We have all had discussions about the illegal boat people at some time or another. Most of us can't understand why the Australian Labor government continues to pay for these illegals, while hard working Australians continue to suffer the brunt of taxes, levies and tolls to help pay for this Labor governments’ misspending. Well the time has come for the truth,I am asking everyone who receives this email to spread this information as far as you can,in the belief that it will end up with someone who will do something about it.
According to this Australian Federal Police Officer, who obviously can never be named, here are some of the facts he believes you should be aware of.
[1] Currently the Federal Police are not producing as many drug busts due to the millions of dollars of their budget being put into intercepting illegal boat people.
[2] When the boat sank last year off Christmas Island, the Australian authorities were throwing life jackets to the children and the adults were swimming to where the life jackets were, then pushing the children under the water and taking the life jackets to save themselves.
[3] When the boat people arrive here, they have already printed out from the internet their rights and have a list of welfare benefits that they demand from the Australian Government.
[4] Whilst in detention they tell the guards that they are here to serve them and the Federal Police have already investigated a number of assaults on detention staff resulting from them "not respecting" the detainees. In other words when a guard doesn't respect or serve these illegal boat people to “their” satisfaction, they believe it's fine to backhand them to gain a little more respect.
[5] After spending around 6-9 months in detention, the illegal boat people have approximately $10 000 saved in “welfare payments”from the Australian Government. They then send the money home and arrange for the next family member to come here on a boat. This means we are actually paying for the continuous flood of illegal boat people via the welfare payments provided to them.
[6] The boat people are all “given” mobile phones and allowed to phone whomever and where ever in the world they please. The reported cost of the combined telephone bills for the first quarter of this year was around $5,000,000.Yes, you read correctly, five million dollars, all provided by the Australian taxpayer.
[7] Residents and the Federal Police on Christmas Island only have dial-up internet which we all know is impracticable in today's internet age.Yet all the detainees have broadband internet care of the taxpayer. These are all facts that simply cannot be spoken about by those who know.Well the time has come Australia to say enough is enough. Please ensure that you spread this as wide as you possibly can."

So it seems that most on DR are now claiming the 'Tard Card'. The legislation seems more than daft. One of the most deadly weapons is a car. If the 'tard' was allowed to drive it must have been deemed that they were cognisent of the consequences of driving one. End of story unless authorities are allowing these people to drive no matter what!
