Quote
Alabama death row inmate Michael Jeffrey Land has asked Gov. Bob Riley to stop his execution, scheduled for Thursday, because of good deeds he says he has performed while in prison.
Are you friggin kidding me. Who cares that he behaved inside, it's what he did on the outside that put him there. He needs to suck it up and pay for his crime, with his life!

Why did she even sign his death warrant in the first place if she just ended up giving him a stay? ughh.
Can someone explain this to me, I don't understand how this all works

You have to be f'ing kidding me.
Nevada sucks!
Breaking News: Tamir Hamilton’s execution has been stayed, meaning he will not be executed later this month. Washoe County Court Judge Connie Steinheimer today ordered the stay of execution.
Hamilton was scheduled to be executed Aug. 16 for the rape and murder of a 16-year-old Sparks girl.
Washoe County District Judge Connie Steinheimer signed the death warrant Thursday for 32-year-old Tamir Hamilton in the 2008 killing of Holly Quick at the Sparks apartment she shared with her mother.
Hamilton lost an appeal to the state Surpreme Court in March. He argued that the judge was wrong to bar some evidence he claimed showed he was mentally ill. Experts testified during his trial that he was faking it.

This was back from June 2010.
I don't live that far from Nevada State Prison, we drive by it all the time. Hope I can drive by and smile on 8/16.
2006 was the last time a person was executed by the state of Nevada.
It was Daryl Mack, who raped and killed Betty Jane May in her Reno home in 1988. Mack was already serving a life sentence when DNA evidence linked him to May's death.
May's family chose to witness the execution. "Justice is served," said May's son, Charles May.
Before Mack was put to death, he's said to have made eye contact with prosecutor Dan Greco, and smiled tauntingly.
Nevada's most recent execution was protested. Many protesters represented religious groups, and said killing is immoral, no matter what.
All executions happen in Carson City, at the Nevada State Prison. They are by lethal injection.
There have been 12 inmates put to death since capital punishment was reinstated in Nevada in 1976. Eleven of those have been voluntary, meaning the convicts gave up their appeals.
According to the Nevada Department of Corrections, 73 inmates have been executed since the first hanging in 1905. At this time, there are at least 77 people on death row in Ely, NV.

I remember this case all to well. It was just a few cities over. This pos needs to die for what he has done. I can only hope Nevada goes through with this on the 16th.

Tomorrow will be a good day.
This guy is unbelievable. If he's such a good guy why was he serving 12 years for aggravated robbery.
