can't say I wish the death penalty wasn't available. I just wish the death penalty wasn't needed...

I'm sooooo sorry the chat room went down and was very happy to get it back up for ya'll...  ENJOY!!

Life here is crazy, my daughter is STILL "paralyzed girl" though she has alot more movement back. A few days ago I was able to get her up on her hands and knees on the bed and she crawled 1 step and then she collapsed, hahahahaha   The big joke around here is the baby will be walking before she is and Ali keeps saying she will knock the baby down  LOL

Still a long way to go...   its been rough but we try to keep smiling.  :-*

Ya'll be good and I will check in again soon.

The only place I agree to disagree is the fervor to execute cop-killers.  I don't necessarily think that being a law enforcement officer should be the aggravating factor that it is since there is a known inherent risk that comes with consciously picking it as a career, that ordinary citizens don't have to face.

They are also sworn to serve and protect and will rush to the aid of a complete stranger in a dangerous and perhaps deadly situation...when an ordinary citizen will turn and run the other way!  It is for that reason that cop killers should be one of the first to get their juice.

Agreed! She is so crazy and self centered she thinks she can just blame everyone else, especially the victim, and get away with such a grisly murder. I hope the jury serves her up with a side of FRIES  :( so when she meets her maker, she can try blaming the justice system and will then finally learn that her evil will not be tolerated and be forced to take responsibility for her heinous actions.

At least Van Poyck seems genually interesting; someone who's brain you really would want to pick and even get to know if he wasn't a killer.  Whitaker is just an entitled little prick faux-intellectual who spouts off big words and bits of esoteric knowledge to make him seem smarter than he really is.   :D

I can really say. Apart from missing my nan still every day, I'm really doing good. Do a lot of stuff with my grandfather. We went to an expo Toetanchamon. Was brilliant.

Btw the course I've started is Business ICT. Really cool stuff. I'm the only female though.

I've read about Steven Smith and it really nearly made me cry and puke tbh.

I missed all of you too. The thing was that I haven't been to school in ages and it was really hard to start it up and in the mean while also keep up with other things besides my work and my social life.
But yes my life is looking good again. My grandfather and mother are both really happy and proud. And now I'm back in the routine again I also can do some other stuff again :-)

@Time2prtee I do always try to as much as possible in English but sometimes things are easier in Dutch  :-[

on: April 18, 2013, 05:35:32 AM 13 General Death Penalty / U.S. Death Penalty Discussion / Interesting little fact for the Antis who believe the DP is racist

I was playing around on DPIC today and I thought I would do a couple of searches on their Execution database.  What prompted this was reading some idiot UK Journalist who had written a blog in which he stated that in the USA the proportion of executions of inmates was 80/20 against black people.  When I saw that I could put in a search on the DPIC database here is what I found....................

Number of inmates executed since 1977 = 1328

Which breaks down as below:-

Blacks                               455
Whites                              746
Asians                               6
Latino                               103
Native American               16
Other                                2
