I think Jim knows that actually. In any case, we always consider that the UK is already an American state de facto! I must say though that I do find it very strange that the first place Americans visit in the UK is the Palace and they do seem fixated on the Royal family.

Neither do I suggest that qualified people should not have a reasonable weapon for home protection which must remain in the home at all times and be locked up in an approved manner when the permit holder leaves the house.

A person with NO criminal history who is known by a responsible person who can vouch for them. A person with no known history of mental illness. The weapon can be inspected by police at any time. Real justification for gun ownership.

A shotgun with a barrel no less than 60cms in length, a bolt action hunting rifle or a small calibre handgun (not semi automatic)

Frankly, Cat, I think part of your first post here should be made a 'sticky' on this forum. It is effectively an 'anthem' for those of us who have lost loved ones through murder and I thank you for it.
