When this monster entered my brain, I will never know, but it is here to stay. How does one cure himself? I can't stop it, the monster goes on, and hurts me as well as society. Maybe you can stop him. I can't.

FREAK Donnie E. Johnson TN Execution by electric chair
Scheduled Executions
Upcoming Executions
Start : Wednesday 25 October 2006, 20:00
End : Wednesday 25 October 2006, 20:20
Sentenced to die by electric chair!

On December 8, 1984, Donnie Johnson signed Ronnie McCoy out of the Penal Farm where he was serving a four month sentence for charges of false reporting. Johnson took McCoy to their place of employment, Force Camping Sales. At the close of the work day, Johnson's wife Connie met them there. McCoy testified that he left Connie Johnson alone with her husband in a sales office, and when he returned Johnson showed him Connie’s dead body. McCoy testified that he thereafter helped Johnson clean up the office and dispose of the body because he was scared of Johnson. Johnson's story was that he left the room and when he returned, McCoy had killed Connie and that he had helped McCoy clean up the crime scene and dispose of Connie's body because he was scare of what McCoy would do if he did not cooperate. The jury convicted Johnson of first-degree murder.

In Tennessee inmates sentenced to die prior to 1999 are to choose the method of execution to be used - lethal injection or electric chair. If they don't choose it defaults to the electric chair. Donnie Johnson has chosen to die in the electric chair.

Please note: On this site Donnie Johnson is referred to as FREAK.

Recent News Article:
NASHVILLE, Tenn. A Tennessee death row inmate scheduled to be executed next week has filed for a stay with a federal appeals court.

Donnie E. Johnson claims lower courts were wrong to previously dismiss his arguments for new counsel.

Johnson was convicted in Shelby County of killing his wife in December 1984 at the camping equipment center where he worked. Authorities say he suffocated her by stuffing a plastic garbage bag into her mouth.

Earlier this month, Tennessee's high court rejected his arguments claiming that he needed new legal representation, and set an October 27th execution.

Monday, Johnson's attorneys filed a motion for a stay with the 6th U-S Circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati.

they told me last week that they were not going to challenge the stay. Actually, they told me the day after the 6th circuit issued the stay.

Cindy, sorry to have to post this but you need to know. In other words it's now up to the 6th Circuit. They have "all day" (plenty of time) now that the state isn't fighting against it...

Tenn. Won't Fight Stay for Death Inmate--
October 23, 2006

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee attorney general's office said Monday it would not challenge the stay of execution for an inmate who was to be the state's first person to die by electric chair in 46 years.

The 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals had granted the stay last week for Donnie Johnson, 55, based on his lawyers' claims that prosecutors and their star witness lied about immunity granted for the testimony that convicted him.

Johnson had been scheduled to die this Wednesday.

Sharon Curtis-Flair, spokeswoman for the state attorney general's office, would not say why the state was not challenging the stay.

Johnson was convicted in 1985 of suffocating his 30-year-old wife, Connie, by stuffing a plastic garbage bag into her mouth. He has maintained that he is innocent and has accused a work-release inmate of robbing and killing his wife.

FREAK got a stay, however it ain't over - it's just a stay so they can look into one of his BS appeals. His time is running out. He is scrambling for any reason to keep his pathetic freak ass alive. His day will come, and it WILL happen. I just feel it.

Oh and the Courts best not give this fucker a stay. Which I think is highly unlikely, cause he has nothing to appeal anymore. He should just be a man face his punishment, which obivously he is not cause he had to murder a sweet and loving woman. I love you momma Connie.
